Yael Stone, who was born in Australia, and who moved to New York City in 2013 was the character Lorna Mello as a prisoner in Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone graduated from NIDA. Yael had the privilege to be able from an early stage to be a part of some of Australia's top storytellers and performers, as well as visionaries in the film, TV and theatre fields. Yael is a renowned actor working in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael found her new home with the city of New York City when the production was acclaimed at The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is a Bushwick Brooklyn studio, they support new artistic writings, and are a source of inspiration for new ideas.
